Please welcome Jessie Smith to Livingston County Schools

Jess Please welcome Jessie Smith to Livingston County Schools. Mrs. Smith has accepted the position of 21st Century Site Coordinator at Livingston County Middle School. She is a 2008 graduate of LCHS and a 2011 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She has worked in healthcare for the last 5 years but is excited for the opportunity to work in her home county. She is married to her husband, Justin, and together they have one son, Jase. They are owners of Smokey D’s of Smithland which keeps them busy, but when they do have free time they love to be outdoors. We are glad to have Mrs. Smith with us and are confident the skills brings to the LCMS afterschool and summer programs will greatly benefit our students.

Nicholas Please welcome Nicholas Zaim to Livingston County Middle School as the new 6th grade math teacher. Mr. Zaim is a Murray State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in middle school education. After 20 years in restaurant management, he is tremendously excited to be starting a new career in the same Live RED community where he and his wife, Jamie, are raising their two sons, Nolan and Avery. We are happy to have Mr. Zaim with us.

We would like to welcome Jessica Gordon to Livingston Central High School as English teacher.

Jessie We would like to welcome Jessica Gordon to Livingston Central High School as English teacher. Mrs. Gordon is a 2014 Livingston Central High School graduate. She attended Murray State University on a scholarship awarded for her participation in the Governor’s Scholar Program and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English education. She is excited to be returning to teach in the same district as her Live RED roots. She married her husband, Zeb, in 2017 and they now reside in Ledbetter with their dog, Charlie.

We would like to welcome Jennifer Head

Jen We would like to welcome Jennifer Head to Livingston County Schools as the district Payroll/Benefits Administrative Assistant. Miss Head is a Livingston Central High School graduate where she spent many years playing basketball and softball. She is also a graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business with concentration in marketing. Miss Head “appreciates the opportunity to serve the members of Livingston County Schools”. We are happy Miss Head has chosen to begin her career in the Live RED educational community where she was raised.

We would like to welcome Mr. Josh Edwards

Josh We would like to welcome Mr. Josh Edwards as Livingston Central High School English teacher. Mr. Edwards was born and raised in Benton and graduated from Marshall County High School in 2007.  He attended St. Catharine College on a golf scholarship and met his wife whom he married in 2012. After graduation, he spent some time in the transportation and sales industries before deciding to pursue a career in education and enrolling in the Masters in Teaching program at University of the Cumberlands. Mr. Edwards now has two years of experience teaching at Graves County High School.  He and his wife have two beagles, Hoyt and Rusty, and are expecting their first child July 17th.

Please welcome Kristy Nelson as the Systems Officer for Livingston County Public Schools

Kristi Please welcome Kristy Nelson as the Systems Officer for Livingston County Public Schools. Mrs. Nelson has a master’s degree in Elementary Teaching from the University of the Cumberlands, as well as Teacher Leadership with a Literacy concentration from Murray State University. She has taught in multiple states over the course of her teaching career and was the director of a non-profit, which brings a unique perspective to her position. She has presented at multiple state and local conferences including the Kentucky Reading Conference, Murray State College and Career Summit, and a guest lecturer on close reading at the Kentucky Reading Project. During her time with Christian County Public Schools, she led professional development with Teachers Intentionally Leading Teachers (TILT) on using curriculum to meet standards, guided reading, and the implementation of literature circles. As the Systems Officer, she is dedicated to helping Livingston County reach for excellence as we LiveRED.

Ross Livingston Central would like to welcome Mr. Geco Ross as the new assistant principal.

Mr. Jonathan Hart as the new principal at North Livingston

Hart North Livingston Elementary School is pleased announce the selection of Mr. Jonathan Hart as the new principal.  Mr. Hart said,
“I’m humbled and excited to be a part of the North Livingston family! I look forward to getting started.”

The Livingston Central High School SBDM Council is proud to announce the selection of Mrs. Stephanie Wood as the Principal of LCHS.

LCHS The Livingston Central High School SBDM Council is proud to announce the selection of Mrs. Stephanie Wood as the Principal of LCHS. She is expected to assume her duties on July 1, 2018. Mrs. Wood comes to us with 22 years of experience in education with a strong foundation in rigorous, engaging, and differentiated instruction (Living RED). Mrs. Wood said, “I am honored and excited to begin working with the students, staff, families, and community of Livingston Central High School.”
