Psychologist Please help us welcome School Psychologist Amanda Brantley

Please help us welcome School Psychologist,  Amanda Brantley, to Livingston County School District.  She is a Paducah native, currently living in Murray. She graduated from St. Mary High School and continued her education at Murray State University where she has earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, Master of Arts in education-school counseling, and is currently finishing her Specialist Degree in education-school psychology.  Outside of her academic work life, Ms. Brantley enjoys traveling, attending as many concerts as she can, and she recently became an aunt. She is looking forward to meeting and getting to know the educators/staff/administrators within our district, as well as, work with our Livingston County students. We are pleased to have her as an addition to our Live RED team.

K.Jones Welcome to Mrs. Kristi Jones Livingston Central High math teacher

We'd like to extend a warm welcome to Mrs. Kristi Jones as she joins Livingston Central High staff as math teacher. Mrs. Jones is originally from Colorado but came to MSU on a scholarship and graduated in 1996 with a B.S. in engineering physics and a minor in mathematics. She worked for USEC in Paducah as a Nuclear Criticality Safety Engineer for several years and then spent the next 12 years with her children as a Family Engineer. She brings experience as an instructional assistant and computer lab manager at Reidland Elementary School and is working on her Masters of Arts in Teaching for secondary mathematics. Mrs. Jones lives in Reidland with her husband, Keith, combined 6 children (ages 5 to 16), 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a guinea pig.  She loves math and cannot wait to share her enthusiasm with our Livingston County students.

 Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Sarah Anthony  as the new Assistant Principal of South Livingston Elementary. Mrs. Anthony, a 1999 Heath High School graduate, has earned a Bachelor of Arts in special education (P-12 LBD), her first M.A.Ed in reading and writing, and second M.A.Ed in school administration and special education directorship, all from Murray State University. She comes with over thirteen and a half years of teaching experience, where she worked with students of all ages and grades within the elementary and secondary level. for the past twelve years, she has worked as Special Education Teacher/Department Chair at Paducah Tlghman High School. She is married and, combined, she and her husband, Chris, have four children. Mrs. Anthony has a passion for working within the educational field and looks forward to continuing her journey in making a difference here with Livingston County students. Most importantly, she values individuality and strives to meet the needs of each and every student with whom she encounters.

K.Smith We would like to welcome Mrs. Kristie Smith to Livingston Central High School as Administrative Assistant/Treasurer

We would like to welcome Mrs. Kristie Smith to Livingston Central High School as she begins her role as Administrative Assistant/Treasurer. She is a 1996 Marshall County High School graduate with a business degree from Paducah Community College. She brings experience as a loan officer and licensed insurance agent from US Bank, administrative assistant from Reidland High School, and office manager from Balfour Company. She is married to her high school sweetheart and together they are raising their two children, Hannah and Grant, on a small Marshall county farm. 

K.Potts We would like to extend a warm welcome to Kinsee Potts, 2009 LCHS graduate, as the new elementary teacher at SLES

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Kinsee Potts, 2009 LCHS graduate, as the new elementary teacher at SLES. She received her Bachelors of Science in elementary education in 2012. During this time, she worked at South Livingston Elementary as a teacher with the Mustang Roundup Academy and also served as Journalism Club and Cheerleading sponsor.  For the past five years she has taught second and third grades at Crittenden Elementary.  Kinsee resides in Grand Rivers with her husband, Bryan, and their three dogs; Kansas, Barkley, and Pepper.  She is currently working toward a master’s degree in teacher leader of mathematics at the University of the Cumberlands.  Kinsee is very excited to teach at SLES and give back to the LiveRED community that she calls home. We are very pleased to have her join our team of excellent educators.

A.Wallace Please welcome Mrs. Alicia Wallace to her new role as South Livingston Elementary Guidance Counselor

Please welcome Mrs. Alicia Wallace to her new role as South Livingston Elementary Guidance Counselor. Mrs. Wallace has taught elementary school for 12 years, with the past two years being at SLES. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and master’s in school counseling from Murray State University. Last year, Mrs. Wallace became a National Board Certified teacher. She lives in the Reidland area with her husband, Bradley, and twin sons, Eli and Ean. We appreciate Mrs. Wallace’s dedication to Livingston County students and are confidant in the guidance she will provide them in her new role.

J,Henson We are proud to partner with Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) and name Jennifer Henson as JAG Specialist

We are proud to partner with Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) and name Jennifer Henson as JAG Specialist. JAG is a state-based national non-profit organization dedicated to preventing dropouts among young people who are most at-risk. In more than three decades of operation, JAG has delivered consistent, compelling results – helping nearly three-quarters of a million young people stay in school through graduation, pursue postsecondary education, and secure quality entry-level jobs leading to career advancement opportunities.

As a special education paraprofessional this past year, Mrs. Henson has been assisting students with work readiness skills and employment opportunities. She has been married to her husband for 13 years and together they have three children. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Murray State University in 2013 and is working on a master’s with concentration in learning and behavior disorders from the University of the Cumberlands. We are certain the experience she brings to this role and her dedication to Live RED will be beneficial to Livingston students as they transition into young adulthood. We welcome Mrs. Henson in her new role.

Jessie Please welcome Jessie Smith to Livingston County Schools

Please welcome Jessie Smith to Livingston County Schools. Mrs. Smith has accepted the position of 21st Century Site Coordinator at Livingston County Middle School. She is a 2008 graduate of LCHS and a 2011 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She has worked in healthcare for the last 5 years but is excited for the opportunity to work in her home county. She is married to her husband, Justin, and together they have one son, Jase. They are owners of Smokey D’s of Smithland which keeps them busy, but when they do have free time they love to be outdoors. We are glad to have Mrs. Smith with us and are confident the skills brings to the LCMS afterschool and summer programs will greatly benefit our students.

Nicholas Zaim Please welcome Nicholas Zaim to Livingston County Middle School

Please welcome Nicholas Zaim to Livingston County Middle School as the new 6th grade math teacher. Mr. Zaim is a Murray State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in middle school education. After 20 years in restaurant management, he is tremendously excited to be starting a new career in the same Live RED community where he and his wife, Jamie, are raising their two sons, Nolan and Avery. We are happy to have Mr. Zaim with us.

Jessie We would like to welcome Jessica Gordon to Livingston Central High School as English teacher.

We would like to welcome Jessica Gordon to Livingston Central High School as English teacher. Mrs. Gordon is a 2014 Livingston Central High School graduate. She attended Murray State University on a scholarship awarded for her participation in the Governor’s Scholar Program and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English education. She is excited to be returning to teach in the same district as her Live RED roots. She married her husband, Zeb, in 2017 and they now reside in Ledbetter with their dog, Charlie.

Jen Head We would like to welcome Jennifer Head

We would like to welcome Jennifer Head to Livingston County Schools as the district Payroll/Benefits Administrative Assistant. Miss Head is a Livingston Central High School graduate where she spent many years playing basketball and softball. She is also a graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business with concentration in marketing. Miss Head “appreciates the opportunity to serve the members of Livingston County Schools”. We are happy Miss Head has chosen to begin her career in the Live RED educational community where she was raised.
